Unbeleavable but true

A new doctor came to work in the same clinic where I work , she is nice , active ,& very polite .Her husband is a doctor too , he is a surgeon .He teaches in the medical college in Mosul ,& he also have a private clinic . so you see he works most of the day & some times at night too. Those couple come from a very well-mannered family. Those two have beautiful three years old girl & one year old son .
They all live in ONE ROOM & SLEEP IN ONE BED, can you believe that they don't have a house , & are not able to buy one because of the law salaries of the doctors & the very high prices of the houses , they can't even rent one .
That is not the end of my story which is not weird specially for the Iraqis , but the three brothers in law of this colleague are married, have kids & live in the same house !!!!
Do you know how many kids are there in that family house ?
TWELVE !!!!! They all sit on one table for three meals among the uproar.
I wonder how can she & her husband sleep with two kids in their bed ?!.......
or how could they take a nap while there are twelve kids in the house ?! ……

Al mahmodia - hospital tragedy

Why would any one dare to kill innocent patients , children ,doctors in a hospital ? That what happened in Al- mahmodia hospital where at least 50 Iraqis died. My cousin is a doctor in Mahmodia she fortunately survived ,but her colleagues and patients did not. She was picked out from the wreckage ,one of the national guards took her out with one of the nurses, during her way out she saw the died bodies of her friends and her patient who had just gave birth & was taken out of the delivery room ……..
children & infants were among the victims , the American soldiers were giving them some toys and presents but they did not got time to enjoy playing with their new toys. the new mothers did not have the chance to enjoy their motherhood…..
My lucky cousin 's twins survived a month ago from a shell fell on their classroom , but not all their dear class mate were , my cousin said that only yesterday I realized how terrible their experience was …..

Only two hours a day.....

Electricity for two hours a day.. that was what we get in the last few days. That means I should do so many things in these two hours , I should use the carpet cleaner , do the laundry , ironing ,I should prepare the bathroom as we need heater , we all should have our shower during these two hours , because the weather is cold now in Mosul, then I should hurry to use the hair drier!! some times I need the microwave to defrost some food or I need to use the computer to talk to my sister ,relatives, friends, , or to write a post or read & send e- mails. so many things should be done in a limited time ,and some times we get the electricity in a bad time for example after midnight , or I am out .It is so hard to live without electricity.
At work the generator was idle ,some times I am in the middle of an operation ,and the electricity is suddenly out of work, we can't continue ,the patient is under local anesthesia , and as faster the operation can be done ,the less post operative complications could occur.….
Of course many other things are badly affected due to the lack of electricity, like those who need it in their work ,as in the factories , ,computers of the banks and others, not necessarily there are generators everywhere , although they are common nowadays….
As the Iraqis are well-known to be chaotic , you can (or probably you can't) imagine how the things are in the crowded streets without traffic lights ….can you? ….
I will leave the rest bad effects like the "economical" for your imaginations…..

That's why?

I was blamed by some of my blog readers for being hopeless, in my previous post. That made me wondering ;
How would you feel if you see ,children with painful carious teeth , abscesses,& other mouth diseases with no hope to treat that because of poverty & because the government don't provide the least medical care required for the col?
How would you feel if you see a school without electricity & the children are studying in the darkness& freezing in the classroom with no heat in very cold weather?
How would you feel if you see children in the classroom have no seats in their classrooms ?
How would you feel if you see two different classes( third & fourth , fifth & sixth)studying in one classroom at the same time ?!
How would you feel if you see every day tens or more of people from your country dying because of lack of security ?
How would you feel if you know that your blood is the cheaper among all?
How would you feel if you live in a country floating on oil , & it's people are freezing in winter?
How would you feel if your country is destructed & need rebuilding , but you see dishonesty, cheating & larceny in the authorities ?
How would you feel if you live among countries that so much cared because of the bird –flu disease & made the best procedures to protect their people & your (elected ,democratic government ) not even aware of that danger on it's people ?
How would you feel if you see all that & much more in the richest country in the world?
How would you feel if you work in a medical field & you see all the suffer & you can't do much?

Excuse me for that ..

To those who are still optimistic about Iraq future , I doubt that I agree with you I know you want to see the democracy in my free country ,but you don't see what I see
I can't be sure about the shiny future ahead ,while I can see death , devastation, sadness in the children's eyes ,I saw the residues of beloved Baghdad , where is the beauty of our capital ?, there are only destructed buildings ,blocked streets , dirts everywhere . sadness in every eye, bad stories in Eed , deep sighs from every Iraqi , sicknesses without cure , moreover , so many new Sadaams in the Iraqi new government .
