What about the other people?...
Dear friends
Last Saturday sunshine had a very bad attack of asthma before midnight I brought her the Respirator machine , but her breathing did not become better . Her hands started trimming & then contracting , her face turned to bluish, She looked very tired .We couldn't take her to hospital because of the errantry ban. Even the Ambulance cars don't come to take sick people because of the risk of ambush. I was terrified I phoned a friend of mine she is a doctor , she told me what to do ,&of course we already had every thing necessary for asthma attack at home .
Thank to Allah I am a dentist, I could manage , and I had every thing necessary at that time .I even had phone services which is not always available . And I had a friend to help me .
But what about the other people? Heart attacks ? many other emergency situations ?...
Mama…..

I am sorry about this, and i hope you and your Sunshine are doing better now? As for your post 'Stop the hate' I think it is good to report these facts. A lot of things can go, or become unnoticed in complicated situations, like in Iraq. Reporting on what happens, bad things as well as good things does make some differences, in some way. My very best wishes to you!

I posted on Sunshine's bolg yesterday about the inspection. And you have since updated your blog to allow for anonymous comments. I don't have a blog page and was not able to post on your bolg. But will do so now. My husband is in Afghanistan. And after reading your blogs yesterday was very upset by what I read. I send him an email to get advise as to what you need to do. He said if you had any of the soldiers name to go to the base camp and ask to speak with the provost marshall about it. These are not acceptable actions. That is one of the reasons Iraqi people don't want us there. One bad soldier can ruin it for the many good soldiers. And there was not excuse for what he did. I can see them being cautious and opening the powder to make it is just that. But not empting on your clothes. I'm sorry this happened to you and your family. I hope that has not left a bad impression on you. But I can't blame you if it did.
And I think it's a shame that even emergency vehicles can't go out at night for fear of ambush. I pray that things improve for your country soon. Do you have a Doctor in your neighborhood that might be willing to help nighbors at night if there is an emergency? Or is to dangerous to even be out at night? Stay safe,
Jennifer
Dear Mama: I am sorry to learn of Sunshine's illness. I hope that she is better by now. Thank you also for changing your comments section. I have tried to get a blogger name, to no avail. I have been reading and loving your posts since you began blogging but could not respond. I do really appreciate all your comments.
I left a comment on Sunshines blogspot a few minutes ago, that I think might help you with the disorderly soldier of a couple of days ago. For security reasons do not post your exact names or address.
Thank you again. Be safe, best wishes and please keep posting. If you are in contact with your younger sister please tell her we miss her and hope she, her husband and daughter are well.

Eh... something tells me the anonymous comments are soon to be gone! 5 out of 8 posts, spam!
I pray that Sunhine is feeling better by today. I suspect that her attack may have been partly, if not completely caused by the rude soldier. Emotions are not always easy to control and can certainly be a factor. Stay safe, I pray for your family daily.

Ugh, I hate spam.
Mama, you had me worried. I pray that Sunshine is ok. Its obvious she's a very special girl. And it's is a good thing she has a great mother like you. I wonder if things would be different (medicine-wise) in Baghdad where the new government is located. Mosul seems quite isolated by contrast, despite the fact its one of Iraq's larger cities.

I do hope Sunshine is better now. I do wonder how many times there is no help for those who are in an emergency like she was. Thankfully you were there for her.
I am hoping to mail out sunshine's asthma medication tommorow Mama! and yes, I wish there were something we could do to help those others who get no service from the ambulance....
Maybe someone could start a community ambulance service? I am sure we bloggers could arrange funding if there were people brave enough to do the job?

I am appalled and embarrased by that soldier's actions. He must have been following a statistics law: "idiots are randomly distributed". I enjoy your blog. My brother is working in Mosul. Take care.
I have been concerned about the ill in Iraq and the inability to get medical care because of the war. One of the sad realities of war is that even basic medical care is in very short supply, and common, treatable illnesses will sometimes kill along with the bombs and the bullets. Then there is the extreme stress of the situation, and the effects that has on one's health.
I hope you and yours stay healthy and don't need emergency care.
I'm very sorry that this is happening to you: you do not deserve this, that is for sure.
